Michelle & Marco

...Watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
— R. Dahl

Marco purchased a portrait session with us as a Christmas present for Michelle; and in August we were finally able to schedule a time to meet. This incredible couple is from the greater Chicago area, and planned a stop in Ohio on their way home from a summer vacation in North Carolina. It was the first time we got to officially meet, but it didn’t take long until it felt like we were already friends.

We love engagement sessions—couples are so eager and excited about starting their lives together, and it’s always a special time to share in with our couples. But there is just something so powerful about working with couples whose relationship has already stood the test of time. Michelle and Marco have been together for twelve years, and at the time of the session, married for four. Relationships take hard work, and they were so candid about their own struggles to make it to where they are today. Because of their willing openness, we were able to create authentic environments that in turned helped us create images personal to them.

After we sent over their full set, Michelle responded with “The gift you both have to meet two strangers and create something that feels so deeply personal is wildly incredible. We can’t even begin to put into words how blown away and grateful we are!”

We’re grateful for her kind words, but we know that we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without remarkable clients, like Michelle & Marco, trusting us enough to collaborate in the making of moments like these—a willingness to be transparent with us, and to not hold back from one another—these are real memories, not fake poses.
